About the Authors

Cathy Kwon and Terri White were dorm mates and good friends at Illinois State University in the 1970s. Cathy learned business, Terri studied journalism and they lost touch as they pursued their careers. When Cathy's three daughters were little, she told them bedtime stories about princesses. But in Cathy's stories, the princesses were powerful, never waiting around for a prince to save the day. Years later, when Cathy's daughters were grown, she reconnected with Terri on a Florida vacation. At the beach, Cathy told Terri about her fairy tales of princesses who take charge of their destinies and of how proud she is of the confident, independent women her daughters have become. Terri jumped at the chance to co-write inspiring, light-hearted fairy tales to teach girls about everyday business principles. A fellow children's book author introduced them to Illinois illustrator Katie Williams, whose talent brings the stories alive. Their collaboration became the Next Chapter Fair Tales Series. Cinderella: The Next Chapter is the first. Cathy and Katie both live in Huntley, IL. Terri lives in Bradenton, FL.
